Wings Over Water is a 2 bedroom waterfront St. John Vacation Villa. Located in Chocolate Hole, and sits on the southwest tip of Bovocap Point. This beautiful, fully air- conditioned villa has been designed and built with finely detailed native stonework and mahogany trim.

The villa offers two master suites in separate pods on either side of the property each with full baths and outdoor showers. Wings Over Water has finely executed, local stonework, copper fixtures, and mahogany custom doors and windows throughout.

Entry is through the impressive central courtyard with pool, which leads to the separate pods and choice of four verandas and three terraces all with truly outstanding views. Sunset views abound from the pool and every room.

The central pod provides a tastefully furnished Great Room with comfortable living area which offers DISH TV, Surround stereo, DVD, BlueRay, and WiFi....

as well as indoor dining.......

........and large, open, gourmet kitchen. Each room has cathedral ceilings, ceilings fans with incredible views.

The outer dining deck has easy kitchen access and a top of the line BBQ as well as comfortable sitting area.

Easily accessed from the dining deck, pool deck and bedrooms, the lawn patio overlooks the spectacular coastline. From the patio the steps lead tothe spectacular "rockerage"- massive stone outcroppings, a truly accessible volcanic rock coastline, great for exploring, picnicking and the sheer enjoyment of being right on the water.

Due to the sharp drops to water the villa is open to adults and children over 12 only.

The South Master suite pod and the North master suite pod both offer privacy, full air-conditioning, full baths with outdoor showers and personal balconies with exceptional water and sunset views.

The South master suite is dramatically perched above the rocky shoreline, with tub, full bath, a/c and balcony and incredible 280 degree views.

The North Master suite overlooks the lawn and gardens and has a choice of king/twin bed, outdoor showerand full bath, private garden balcony and air-conditioning, and continuing fabulous ocean views.

The master baths are identical with the North suite having an outdoor, enclosed garden shower.

Accessible from the main pod and north bedroom pod is the wonderful lawn, gardens and ocean patio where uninterrupted views abound. From there a set of native stone steps takes you out onto the rock playground.

The pool has a gentle stairway entrance and bench seating along the entire deck side for cool relaxation. The size is just right for easy laps and casual exercise.

The generous pool deck has plenty of seating from the lounge chairs to the comfortable book nook.

The views are truly magnificent from every angle of every room, sunsets all year long, the sound of water moving adds a truly serene background to this unparalleled vacation home.

Kitchen: Granite countertops and custom mahogany cabinets. KitchenAid refrigerator with icemaker and water dispenser. Whirlpool washer-dryer, dishwasher, gas range, and microwave. Toaster, blender, boiler, coffee grinder, drip and press coffeemakers. Meyda Tiffany lighting. Fire Magic built-in BBQ on the porch outside with pass-through to the kitchen.

Living room: Dish network TV with DVD/Blueray player. Wireless internet access. Music system with indoor and outdoor speakers, Ipod-Iphone connection, and CD player. Local land-line phone with answering machine. Two covered verandas and an open leeward terrace.

North master suite pod: King or twin beds, Simmons Beautyrest Classic mattress. All-cotton sheets and towels, small built-in desk, local land-line phone, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, two closets, Ipod music dock. Full bath with outdoor shower, covered veranda.

South master suite pod: King bed, Simmons Beautyrest Classic mattress. All-cotton sheets and towels, small built-in desk, local land-line phone, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, two closets, Ipod music dock. Full bath with outdoor shower and tub, covered veranda.

Getting in the water: Salt system pool, 30’ X 5.5’ X 5.5’ with built-in bench facing West. Beach chairs, coolers, beach towels, floats. Sand shower at the house gate. Hart Bay: 10 minute walk, good snorkeling when calm. Chocolate Hole: 15 minute walk, good snorkeling and more often calm. Westin Hotel and beach: 5 minute drive. North Shore beaches begin: 15 minute drive. Snorkeling beaches to the south include Reef Bay (when calm) and Klein Bay (almost always calm): 10-15 minute drives.

Two-mile drive to Cruz Bay shops and restaurants, all paved roads.

Throughout: This home has a rocky point all to itself, with abundant privacy except from the occasional passing ship. Perfect for private sunbathing. Each room has Hunter Classic Original ceiling fans, independently controlled AC (plus great breezes for enjoying the night music without AC), vaulted ceilings, custom mahogany doors and windows, and handcrafted teak furniture.

Rates are based on number of bedrooms used - we rent to only one group at any one time.
