The Love Shack at Lovango Cay

Welcome to Lovango Cay where seclusion is a way of life. We are located 2 miles north of Cruz Bay St John, US Virgin Islands, just a short 10 minute boat ride away and 3 miles to Redhook, St Thomas, a 15 minute boat ride to the east-northeast. Your front door mat is the Caribbean Sea.

Featured in National magazines, this unique, custom timber home. The greenest house in the Virgin Islands, with complete amenities powered by the sun and wind and satellite access to tv and internet. A white sandy beach, palm trees, and a boat dock at your front door makes this truly an island paradise.

The Love Shack is totally off the grid, a self generating green energy house, utilizing 42 voltaic solar panels that produce over 7000 watts of power hourly (at peak sunshine hours) and a 3.5 kilo watt wind turbine generator. When the sun and wind do not cooperate there is a backup 21 kilo watt diesel powered generator and a backup for the backup is a 6 kilo watt diesel generator.

Master bedroom is 16' x 16', with a walk in closet, air conditioning, TV with satellite hookup and a screened in deck.

Cottage bedroom has a queen size bed and large hammock, TV with satellite hookup, cabana style bathroom, and over head fan. The beach cottage was the original building on the property and is just steps to the beach. Listen to the waves as you drift you off to sleep.

The loft is a office/bedroom that is capable of sleeping 4 persons with a king size bed and full size sleeper sofa.

Rates:

Minimum rental is for one week, with additional days being Prorated. You are not limited to arriving and departing on a weekend. You can begin your stay on any day of the week that the Love Shack is available. To maintain your privacy the main house and cottage are never
rented to different parties unless part of your group.

50% DEPOSIT REQUIRED AT TIME OF RESERVATION, BALANCE DUE 60 DAYS PRIOR TO ARRIVAL
ALL RATES SUBJECT TO 8% GOVERNMENT OCCUPANCY TAX
10% SECURITY DEPOSIT REFUNDED WITHIN 30 DAYS OF DEPARTURE.

CANCELLATIONS 60 OR MORE DAYS PRIOR TO ARRIVAL ARE REFUNDABLE LESS A 15% SERVICE
CHARGE. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL A REFUND BE GIVEN FOR A CANCELLATION
WITHIN 60 DAYS PRIOR TO ARRIVAL, UNLESS THE PROPERTY CAN BE RERENTED FOR THE SAME
PERIOD. IF SO A REFUND LESS 15% SERVICE CHARGE WILL APPLY.
