THE HAWKS NEST is a finely crafted small home with an ideal location for two on private property inside the borders of the U.S. Virgin Islands National Park and within walking distance of five different beaches.

Perched among the trees above Hawksnest Bay, the cottage looks across the water to Caneel Bay Resort and further west to the sunset over St. Thomas and other out-islands.

Take a stroll to the beach in the morning, in the afternoon, or both. The five distinct beaches of Hawksnest, Gibney, Denis, Jumbie and Trunk Bay are all within a 10-20 minute walking distance. For more activity, the tennis courts, spa, beaches and restaurants of the famous Caneel Bay Resort are a 30-minute walk or a 5-minute drive from the cottage.

Enjoy the open air, three sided view from the great room to watch the birds fly by during breakfast. In the morning or afternoon, relax for a pleasant time in the garden among the native trees and wild orchids. For a spectacular sunset dinner, the full-length covered deck is the place to be.

The taxi-vans run the park road on a steady basis and can provide a quick lift to Caneel Bay Resort or a 10-minute ride into the town of Cruz Bay for more dining choices and unique gallery shopping. Enjoy the option of not being required to rent a car, if you choose not to, since the cottage's location is so ideal. The park road is a 5-minute walk (1-minute drive) down the hillside road that leads from the cottage.
